2006

The Central Georgia Advertising Federation has a new president. For 2006-2007, Larry Najera will be President of this non-profit organization that helps the local advertising community, schools and other companies with all their marketing efforts, as well as upholding ethical guidelines and standards of the advertising community. The Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, GA is a revitalized venue that will feature a variety of live music from rock bands to first-class musical tours, as well as vintage and independent films. Visit the Cox Capitol Theatre and enjoy dinner, performances and movies! Larry has been invited to be on the Board of the Cox Capitol Theatre and now serves on the Board helping the theatre achieve its goals.

During the Central Georgia Advertising Federation 2005-2006 Advertising Awards held at The Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon, GA. Larry Najera, Jr. of Najera Design, received 16 awards including 2 Best of Shows for "Central Georgia's Newest Legacy--The Albert L. ''Buddy'' Luce, Jr. Heart Institute" created for the MEDCEN Community Health Foundation and "The Georgia Women of Achievement Website - www.georgiawomen.org" created for Georgia Women of Achievement. Both projects were done in collaboration with Bright Blue Sky Productions. Larry was also honored with a 2006 MAX Award for "Best Website Designer." For the complete list of winners, click here.

MAGA - The Macon Georgia Film & Video Festival was created to celebrate the art and craft of the moving image and to give light to films which rarely appear in Macon, particularly those that are independent, experimental, and short in length. The Macon Georgia Film & Video Festival is open to filmmakers working in all media, genres, and themes. The new website by Najera Design is launched.

Najera Design was chosen to design and brand the Allen Peake for State Representative Campaign. Several print collateral and signs, as well as the website, was built and designed by Najera Design. allenpeake.com is now live and is constantly being updated.

2005

HODAC, in Warner Robins, GA, is working with Bright Ideas Group and Najera Design to develop the Georgia Gambling Helpline Website and Campaign to help people with gambling problems and their families. The initial website is now online with 2nd level development in progress. HODAC, a non-profit agency providing education, prevention and intervention services and programs affecting the health and welfare of the citizens of Georgia.

The website for Georgia Music Magazine, georgiamusicmag.com, is launched. Featured on the website are an interactive music player, reviews and archives of the magazine. Georgia Music Magazine is a quarterly publication focused on music entertainment in Georgia. Subscribe today!

Najera Design consults and updates several e-commerce based websites for the Holidays including chuckleavell.com, pearsonfarm.com, museumofaviationfoundation.org, rickmaier.com, spamedical.com, and maconarts.org.

Spa Medical is a relaxing place where medical science combines with a luxurious spa environment to provide state of the art skin & body rejuvenation. Featured on the website are an interactive music player, reviews and archives of the magazine.

The website for First Presbyterian Day School is now live. Najera Design was responsible for updating the design and reorganizing this website which has over 100 pages. Najera Design maximizes the client's investment in their website by training faculty and staff to update the website. This website for one of the best private schools in the area features intelligent navigation including a site map to help users get to the information they need in less than 2 clicks; a photo gallery; and an event listing database that the staff updates everyday.

Georgia Women of Achievement has been launched. Bright Blue Sky Productions has partnered with Najera Design in many projects offering multimedia solutions which feature high resolution HD video production, memorable copywriting and innovative websites. This educational website is the first destination for students, teachers and anyone doing research on women of Georgia who made extraordinary contributions to society. The background music features a solo piano performance from Chuck Leavell and the honorees section features custom video presentations on several women, audio clips, and historical images.

The Home Front Exchange, the gift shop at the Museum of Aviation has been updated. Many new items have been added to this secure online gift shop. Browse through their selection and shop early to find the aviation enthusiast in your family something special. The Central Georgia Advertising Federation website has been updated. This non-profit organization helps the local advertising community, schools and other companies with all their marketing efforts. The website includes a news scroller and an auction solution provided by Yahoo. WCOX15.com has been launched. This website was created to promote new shows including Around Town with Macon Magazine, Indie Showcase, Cox Connects and Live at Five. This website includes video previews about the new shows featured on Cox Channel 15.

Chuck Leavell has gone on the road with The Rolling Stones and will be playing in Atlanta October 15, 2005. He just released his new solo CD, Southscape. Najera Design currently maintains and updates chuckleavell.com and charlane.com. Larry also stands by as tech support for their Apple Macs.

Rick Maier, author of Bone Dust has released his new book, Exit South. Rick is the CFO at Wesleyan College and is a freelance columnist. You can find his books and articles on his website. His books settings are in our hometown of Macon, Georgia. Najera Design has redesigned and updated his website to showcase and include his new book.

The Museum of Aviation Visitor Kiosk is now complete and according to the Museum, "The Information Specialist with Valdosta VIC – excitedly reported that the kiosk has not had any problems since its arrival at the Valdosta VIC. She said visitors are amazed at its information base and interactive theme. Each member of the visiting families find the kiosk appealing - the kids love it and continuously ask their parents if they can take it home; while adults love it for its information on the county. She suggested keeping them stocked with brochures because they are “flying” off the rack card area even more so since the kiosk’s arrival." Najera Design was also responsible for the brochure design. Najera Design is currently designing all the aircraft podium signs that identify each aircraft in the exhibit and maintaining their website and e-commerce shopping cart.

Larry Najera is "star struck"! "Earlier this year, I met Chuck Leavell, one of the members of The Allman Brothers Band . . . oh and he also happens to be the keyboardist for The Rolling Stones! Chuck and his wife, Rose Lane, are two of the most genuine people you can meet. I was lucky to meet them through Lynn Lavery of Lavery & Company. I've helped the staff of Lavery & Company with their Apple systems for a long time and that led Lynn to bring me to the Leavells, who are avid Mac users, to help them with their technical support issues with their Macintoshes."

Najera Design helps Chuck & Rose Lane with their technical issues on the Mac and currently updates and maintains the Charlane Plantation and Chuck Leavell websites. Recently, Najera Design finished the encoding, programming and replication of the Chuck Leavell Live at the Douglass Theatre DVD. Chuck Leavell Live at the Douglass Theatre DVD is now available at chuckleavell.com. Najera Design was responsible for the programming, encoding and replication of the DVD.

Georgia Music Magazine is a quarterly publication focused on music entertainment in Georgia. The first issue is out this month! Najera Design was chosen to develop and design its website. A basic website is up now with incremental updates to be released throughout the year. Look for streaming music clips and downloadable screensavers in the near future. Subscribe today!

Coldwell Banker Commercial / Eberhardt & Barry Website has been launched. This website features an online database solution provided by LoopNet, the largest commercial real estate listing service online.

Get a KNIGHTLIFE and see The Macon Knights at the Macon Coliseum pulverize all their opponents in Arena 2 Football. Najera Design is proud to design and produce the 2005 season TV commercials. Tune in on any local or Cox Cable TV channel to see the commercials.

If you are planning a trip to Lake Tahoe, do not miss seeing Larry's sister, Pamela Najera in Fusion 2, A New Blend of Magic, Comedy and Illusion. Najera Design has updated the Fusion website for the 2005 season.

Cox Communications will announce the new WCOX15, a channel dedicated to quality TV programming, in August 2005. Najera Design was chosen to develop and create their new website. This multimedia website will contain streaming video to promote their new lineup including Live at Five, Around Town and Indy Films. The website will be launched in August, 2005.
