Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
~ Steve Jobs
I’m not one to idolize people, including famous people, movie stars, rock stars, etc. I believe that every person has at least one quality or gift and I enjoy discovering those gifts in the people I meet. I never met Steve Jobs, but if there was one person on Earth I would have liked to have met, it would be him. He was exceptional and very inspirational. He inspired me to think differently.
I have gone through many hardships in my personal life, but who hasn’t? We all have our mountains to climb, vices to overcome. Steve Jobs was born out of wedlock, put up for adoption at birth, dropped out of college, then changed the world. I don’t have any excuse!
Be flexible to change and be ready to throw away everything you knew for everything you know now.
This is the original version with Steve Jobs narrating “Here’s to the Crazy Ones” that never aired. Richard Dreyfuss did the voiceover for the original spot that aired.
Far more than all of the devices he invented, he has left me completely inspired. I don’t know if he knew that he was destined to be one of “The Crazy Ones” featured in his Apple “Think Different” Campaign. Obviously, these are people that he has looked up to himself.
If there was only one message I could give my children, it would be the message that Steve delivered during the commencement speech at Stanford.
I am expressing my deep gratitude to Steve Jobs for being an inspiration and for producing the tools I use to learn, work, live and play.
