A hometown celebration translated into a joyful, cinematic story.
Najera Design + Marketing and GoRound Media produced the “Cherry Blossom Party Time” music video for the International Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, Georgia. The project brought together festival imagery, local landmarks and performances connected with Macon Pops and the Otis Redding Foundation.
Client: International Cherry Blossom Festival
Location: Macon, Georgia
Scope: Music video production, event photography and visual storytelling
Role: Official festival photographer and videographer

The creative idea
The festival is colorful, familiar and deeply connected to Macon. The video needed to feel like the celebration itself: upbeat, welcoming and unmistakably local. The visual approach placed performers and festival energy within the city that gives the event its identity.
What the project brought together
- Music video production: Filming and editing shaped around the rhythm and spirit of the song.
- Location storytelling: Recognizable Macon settings helped make the film feel rooted in place.
- Festival experience: Years of photographing and filming the event informed what moments and details mattered.
- Collaborative production: Visual storytelling supported the work of festival organizers and local performers.
- Post-production: Editing, pacing and image treatment brought the separate scenes into one cohesive film.
More than event coverage
The project demonstrates the difference between documenting an event and understanding its personality. Familiarity with the festival made it possible to create something that felt less like a promotional assignment and more like a piece of Macon culture.
